1. You need to have a good eating plan. Nutritional aspect of muscle building is often neglected because the common belief is that you should eat anything you can grab. That is, however, completely wrong! For good muscle building you need both calories and nutrients, so you need to have a healthy eating plan. Eating just junk food will give you nothing but excess fat. You need proteins, vitamins, minerals and good fats and carbs- and junk food contains non of those.

2. You need to have a good workout plan too. I’m sorry to say, but training too hard will get you nowhere. I know it may strange because most of the people think that you do need to train extremely hard to get those big muscles. Well, the fact is that you don’t have to workout more than 3-4 times during the week. Overdoing it may cause the body to actually stop increasing muscle mass- to block. That’s why you should make an exercise plan which will target a certain muscle group each day without over forcing just one or two groups while neglecting the rest.
3. Drink plenty of water. Your whole body needs to be hydrated enough. Water will help it process toxins and dispose of them faster so you will be healthier and your energy levels and strength will increase too.
4. If you want a permanent and good quality muscle gain (and I know you do), try to use as little supplements as possible. Vitamins and minerals are allowed but supplements for fast weight gain and fast muscle mass increase are mostly just temporary, and not to mention, unhealthy solutions. With a good eating plan( which I mentioned above) you can gain weight completely naturally- and not just any weight- good weight, muscle mass.
5. Don’t let yourself fall in the routine. If you keep lifting the same weight you can’t expect any progress. After some time your body gets used to the weights you lift so the same exercises don’t have the same impact as before. The body has no need to increase muscle mass if the one you already have is sufficient for the weights you use for exercising. That’s why you have to increase the weights slowly. And I have to underline slowly! If you walk in the gym and decide “ Ok, today I’m exercising with more weights” there are better chances to injure yourself than to make any progress. But if you add a few reps with new weights to you every training, pretty soon you will start abandoning the old program and keep progressing.
